Light of my Life

CAS, that's me! When it comes down to it, I just can't find anything I like better than the crips, clean lines of a CAS (clean-and-simple) card. So when I decided to play with the new set "One Tag Fits All", this is what I came up with!

If you look closely, you can see that I went over my Daffodil Delight blendabilities with Dazzling Details. It just looks a little more interesting than a flat effect.

Stamps : One Tag Fits All
Cardstock : Shimmery White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey
Ink : Memento Black
Accessories : Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey ribbon, Daff Delight Blendabilities, Dazzling Details

Masculine Wetlands

Here's a quick and easy masculine card using the gorgeous set, Wetlands. It's very quick and easy to pull together and perfect for a masculine card.

The goose is stamped on a circle cut out from the framelit set. The banner is hand cut and I added a touch of twine and a wooden button for a rustic feel.

Stamps : Wetlands, Guy Greetings (sentiment)
Ink : Memento Black, Crumb Cake
Cardstock : Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Accessories : Circle Framelit, twine, wooden button

Flower Patch

This card has been a work in progress for some months. I started off just randomly stamping the flowers on a scrap to see what they were like when I first got the set. It was too pretty to throw away so I decided to build a card around the scrap. I had to put an oval from around it to hide the bits that weren't too great, then added a few punched out flowers and a sentiment. Easy peasy!

The centres of the punched out flowers are made with our pearls, coloured with blendabilities which always look SO coordinated and professional. Without the pearls, the card was a little "blah", but with them, I think it's a wow.

Stamp Set : Flower Patch
Cardstock : Shimmery White
Ink : Calypso Coral, Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories : Banner & Oval Framelits, Button, twine, pearls, blendabilities

Cheerful Critters

I have ordered a few things from the new Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog (which is packed full of goodness, by the way). One of my co-workers asked me to make a card for her 2 year old nephew so I immediately went to this set, Cheerful Critters. It's easy to use, ridiculously 'cute' (dare I say 'super cute'?).

True to my style, I kept is extremely simple, just 2 layers of real red and lost lagoon, with a touch of ribbon. I really like how it turned out. The colouring was done with blender pens. The crumb cake blendabilities were just way too dark for his face, I really do need to practice with those!

This next card uses the same character from the set. This one is for a swap I participated in. It's also very CAS, the detail is in the watercolouring which was done with an aquapainter and re-inker. The ribbon and layering is done with Pear Pizzazz.

I'm not a demonstrator who begs for business .... but if you DO like these projects and would like to order this set, you can do so online here. Thank you :)
