Goodbye Mummy!

Gosh, what a quiet house! I've not been posting as often as normal because my mum's been visiting from England. What a fun time we've had, gossiping and stamping ... or is that stamping and gossiping ... anyway, there's nothing like sharing what we love with people that we love. Thanks mum for your company over the last 3 weeks, what a wise, grounded and sweet lady you are! The only thing missing was my Big Sister Sarah who was sorely missed, the 3 of us are crafting whirlwinds ... maybe next time Sarah!

So not only is my mummy's visit over, but my time as a Design Team Member for H&M Stamps ends this month too. Crikey, how depressing is that! So for my final few cards, I really wanted to try something a little different from the other DT members ... here's what I came up with for today with the SCS colour challenge colours of Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss ...

Recipe
Stamps : H&M Peaceful Decor
Cardstock : Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss
Ink : Memento Black
Accessories : Reinkers & Aquapainter

CD Case Calendar

Just a quick post today ~ I wanted to share a CD Calendar I made for Crystal, my MI Mingle secret sister ... well not so secret actually!!! Anyway, in February we were to make a treat for our SS and I decided on this calendar for Crystal. The CD case is from Papertrey Ink, you can get 5 for $3 which I think is really reasonable and the tear off months are from 'Stamp on This'. I think they're just the right size for the CD Case ... and I wanted to use the tree from 'Thoughts & Prayers' which is just a beautiful SU set. I'm still on my CAS kick so this is no exception! Glad you liked it Crystal!

Recipe
CD Case : PTI Ink
Stamps : Thoughts & Prayers
Cardstock : Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink : Choc Chip
Accessories : Calendar (Stamp on This) Button Bouquet 'Latte'

And Now For Something Completely Different

We drove down to Montpelier, Ohio yesterday to collect Sarah's new pet ... a hedgehog called Fitzwilliam Darcy (after Mr Darcy in Pride & Prejudice). Is this not the cutest face you've ever seen? We all love him already! Sarah's going to have so much fun caring for him. We were so busy playing and driving yesterday we didn't find time to stamp (gasp) but today will be a different story .... tee hee.

Fabric Flowers

I managed to do another card today! The WT challenge on SCS called for FABRIC to be used on a card or project. I have been waiting for an excuse to try out fabric in the Big Shot so I cracked open some quilting fabric by Moda (Mistletoe Manor) and put it through the BS with the Pennant Banner. Wow, it's so easy to do! I really like how it turned out!

Recipe
Cardstock : Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke
Ink : Choc Chip
Accessories : Vanilla HPH, Moda Fabric, Sewing Machine, Big Shot, Pennant Banner, Shell Button, Heart Punch

I'm still here!

Goodness, a week can FLY by! Mum arrived from England last Wednesday and we've been busy, busy, busy since then ... catching up on everything (you know how it goes). I need to take some photos of her projects ... she loves to stamp when she comes to stay. I did manage to get the sketch challenge done yesterday with some of my new Specialty Designer Paper ... can you see the texture? It's just gorgeous! I'll post with some of mum's projects later on.

Recipe
Stamps : Together Forever
Ink : Choc Chip
Cardstock : WW, choc Chip, Baja Breeze, To the Nines Specialty paper

A card from my SECRET SISTER

Isn't this just beautiful? I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Some SCS addicts from Michigan are meeting at the end of March in Bay City for the Michigan Mingle! We've been assigned 'secret sisters' before the event and this card came yesterday from mine, Vicki (I guessed who she was LOL). Don't you just LOVE it? She knew that my fave colours are pink and green so she made this for me ... I just adore the scored criss-cross with teeny weeny crystals on the intersections ... so darling! And those buttons with dew drops are perfect. Thank you SO MUCH Vicki for this fantastic card, can you guess that I love it?!!!! For those SCS'ers out there, Vicki is also known as CraftCrazy98.

Recessed Window Card

Wow, the weekend shot by for me! Thanks to the ladies who came to my Box & 12 Cards class ... it was a marathon but we had a lot of fun! Then Sunday afternoon was taken up with a shoebox swap ... what a great way to spend a weekend!

Today's TLC is to make a recessed window card. For the details take a peep here. I decided to keep my card REALLY plain and simple ... mainly because it took all my concentration to make the recessed part of the card work!!! Don't you love the corduroy button at the bottom? New in the catalogue!

Mum arrives from England on Wednesday lunchtime ... so I need to get some cleaning done ... see, mum, I've got my priorities right ~ stamping comes first!!! Tee Hee!
