Mother's Day Window

Next Sunday is Mother's Day back home in England. I wanted to make something Spring-y and pretty for my lovely mum. As is so often the case, my online stamping friend Amanda Bates had posted the most gorgeous card over on her blog. As you can see, mine is almost the same, except for the colour of the frame and the sentiment. Thank you Amanda for another fabulous card for inspiration!

Recipe

Mum's Birthday

This was my first attempt at a cascading card. They are so visually different and really quite simple to make, once you master the technique. I bought the 'From the Garden' stamp set last year and never used it, I know, imagine that! I thought the picks were perfect for my mum's birthday card. Love how it turned out. I used LeeAnn Greff's instructions here.

 Recipe
Stamps : From the Garden, Petite Petals, Perfect Pairings
Cardstock : Birthday Bouquet DSP, Whisper White
Ink : Rose Red, Mossy Meadow, Basic Grey
Accessories : Stampin' Trimmer, Hand Picked Framelits, Flower Punches, Half Pearls

CAS Get Well

Well, I have to admit, I loved this orginal card SO MUCH I just unashamedly copied it!!! Same papers, everything although mine is much more CAS. I did switch it up a little bit, I added the charm and twine and left off the lemon and the piercing so it's not an exact copy :) Thank you Yvonne in the Netherlands for a great original to inspire me!

Valentine Cupcake

This card was made using the Label Card Thinlit. I haven't used this die much, but when I pulled it out to make this I realised just how unique and interesting it is for something a little different. The cupcake is made using the Sprinkles of Life set and matching punch. Very easy and sweet. The cupcake has dazzling diamonds glued on with the fine tip glue pen. The last photo is the back of the card.

Stamps : Sprinkles of Life
Ink : Crumb Cake
Cardstock : Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Shimmery White
Accessories : Big Shot, Label Card Thinlit, Sprinkles of Life Punch, Dazzling Diamonds

Baby Boy Dresser

I totally CASE'd this wonderful card by Kate Morgan. Loved the idea of making a dresser our of a side step card. I switched it up a little, I liked the legs of the dresser made out of the top of the tag punch instead of the label punch in the original. I added the nappy pin and took off the socks. The baby boy this card is for is Belgian with a very long, strangely spelled name so I opted for "Baby", a cop-out but it worked!

Here's a link to the Splitcoast tutorial for a side-step card. Not very hard to do, but so effective.

Recipe
Stamps : Something for Baby
Ink : Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock : Marina Mist, Shimmery White, Soft Sky
Accessories : Big Shot, Baby's First Framelits, Tag Punch, Subtles Candy Dots

Birthday Flowers

I was really happy with how this card turned out. It's a 5 1/2" square card, the top layer was cut with the circle thinlit scallop circle and the actual card base was just stamped with assorted inks and the set Flower Patch. A quick greeting banner and a coordinating button were added to finish it off.

Recipe
Stamps : Flower Patch
Ink : Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon
Cardstock : Shimmery White
Accessories : Big Shot, Circle Thinlits, Designer Subtles Collection (button), twine

Chrissie's 60th

A friend of mine is going to be 60 next week. She lives in England so I have to get this sent off today or it won't arrive in time. Because international posting is so picky, I had to leave embellishments off this card, it needs to be flat in the envelope. I used the gorgeous Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for the heart to compensate!!!!

Recipe
Stamps : Number of Years
Ink : Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake
Cardstock : Blushing Bride, Shimmery White, BB Glimmer
Accessories : Big Shot with Large Numbers Framelits and Bloomin' Heart Thinlit
