A Treat in a Box

We've been invited over to friends for supper tonight to celebrate the Labor Day w/end here in the USA and I wanted to take something for the hostess. I made these chocolate chip cookies at lunch time and decided to make a box to put them in. I think it turned out really nicely ... and makes a home-baked gift really unique.

Here's a peek inside the box ...

To make the box:- 12x12 Cardstock, score at 3" on each edge. Along ONE edge, snip from the outside along the 3" score towards the centre of the box. Do the same on the opposide edge. These make tabs which you can glue to the other sides to make the box. For the lid, just cut about 1/8" off a 12x12 piece of cardstock and do the exact same thing. I decorated mine with the new 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Old Olive, and the top is done with the square scallop die and the Flower Folds Die. The centre of the flower is Think Happy Thoughts.

Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone!

I would be as excited about the box as what's in it. Beautiful presentation. Was the pun intended using Chocolate Chip cardstock?
