April Club

I've been lucky enough to have two clubs running since Autumn last year. My Saturday Club ended last month, and my Friday night Club ends tonight. I started to feel really sad today, but have decided to start another Round of Club starting in June with the NEW CATALOGUE! Yippee ... I'm really excited and thought I'd share these projects to show you what fabulous things we make in Club for FREE. You don't have to be in my neighbourhood to attend, you can join my June club by mail if you'd like to. Let me know if you think that's something you'd like to do.

Here's a closer look at each project. All were made using the April promotion from SU called "Summer Smooches". I love how bright and cheery these colours and designs are. This product suite will be available in the newest Catalogue which goes live on June 1st. I can't wait! Special thanks for this adorable basket design go to Betty Traciak. I found her adorable basket on Pinterest. Her blog post with directions on how to make this basket from the Petite Purse die can be seen here.

Faux Embossing with In Colours

Two challenges today ~ firstly, the TLC which is to make a faux embossed background using punched out shapes, mine are the circles, I added a tiny smidge of Versamark Pen around the bottom of my shapes to make the faux embossing stand out more. Secondly, the Creative Crew April Design Focus is to use the 2010-2012 In Colours which will be retiring at the end of next month {sad face}. I will miss Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz SO MUCH!

Recipe
Stamps : Fabulous Phrases, Bright Blossoms
Ink : Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait
Cardstock : Shimmery White, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait
Accessories : Circle Punches, Versamark Pen, Poppy Parade Ribbon, Scallop Trim Punch, 1/2 Crystals

Inspiration Challenge

Every Saturday on Splitcoast, there's an Inspiration Challenge. I hardly ever have time on a Saturday to participate, but I got all my chores done yesterday so today I was delighted to find this cool photo on the Soul-Flower website to inpire me!
I chose the Stampin' Up Wheel "Funky Forest" and came up with this card which is for my friend Shari and her family who moved into a new house last week.

Here's a closer look at how I 'thumped' on my images to give some definition to the trees. I have unmounted this particular wheel so it's easy to use markers on all the various trees.

Recipe
Stamps : Funky Forest Wheel
Ink : Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock : Pear Pizzazz, Shimmery White
Accessories : Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Always Artichoke & Old Olive Markers

Picnic Basket and Tutorial

My friend, Nikki, pinned a pic of a gorgeous picnic basket from Randi Thorsen's Norwegian blog. I was very taken with it so decided to have a go at making my own, converting all the metric measurements into inches. I made one of these baskets for the MI Mingle and have just made another one and made a photo tutorial to show you how to make one. The tutorial is in the right hand side bar of my blog under "Picnic Basket Tutorial". Here's what I came up with :

If you make one, make sure you leave me a comment so I can come and see it :) Happy Stamping!
