Colour Challenge Birthday Lattice

Yes, I'm posting again. It's another version of the Class Card we'll be doing on the 25th. This time, it's using the Colour Challenge Colours .... Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze. My friend Carol found a wonderful card by Mary Fish and this is my version of it.

February Card Class

I just wanted to show you what we'll be making at my February card class. I have a wonderful friend and customer, Carol, who is always sending links to things she'd like to see me include in my classes. It's much appreciated as it does make my life easier, it's hard to 'guess' what people are going to want to do! So here are the projects ...

This first card uses a technique called "Inset Embossing" ... come to the class and learn how to do it!

This card uses the Lattice Die. It has a more masculine feel due to the shapes, design and colours used. Except for the little flowers down the edge, couldn't resist that! This card is based on one Carol found by Mary Fish.

The final card in the class is this one using 'Circle Circus'. Carol found a card by Amanda Mertz (Mandypandy on SCS) which I've used here, but modified it slightly to make it a pop up card.

The pop up card was invented by Christine Miller (cmstamps on SCS) and is SO fun! Look at the inside!

Quick & Easy

I'm loving the new 'Punch Bunch' SAB set from SU! I needed to make a few quick and easy 'thank you' notes and came up with these. Some would say overly simple, but I love that!

Box Arm Card

I wanted to share another Box Arm Card with you all today. I've used the colour challenge colours on Splitcoast. River Rock, Basic Gray, Whisper White! I thought the photos could explain the mechanics of the card.

FEBRUARY CREATIVE CREW PROJECTS

Yay, it's February! That means the new Creative Crew gallery is open on Splitcoaststampers.com! Thought you like to see my projects. There are 4 themes for you to play along with this month. "Catalog Focus" is to make a project using beads, baubles, trinkets, chains and charms, "Colour Focus" is to use Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, "Seasonal Focus" is the make a project to use at a dinner party, or dinner party related, "Scrapbook Inspiration" is a sketch which you should be able to find on the Creative Crew thread.

My first project incorporates the dinner party AND trinket theme. I made wine charms using the trinket crowns form the Occasions Mini Catalogue! Love how this turned out :)

Also included in my Dinner Party theme is this recipe book. I used my Zutter binder to hold it all together.

Here's my menu for the dinner party. I've invited my dear friend Patty {she's the one who makes the Creative Crew happen ... she works really hard behind the scenes} who deserves a treat, don't you think?! Here's her place name and menu which also incorporate February's colours!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, IT'S A NEW KIND OF CARD-FOLD. I think I'll call this one the Box Arm Card. Not very original, but it works by two 'arms' folding outwards to create this:

I made one more box arm card using a trinket key. Here are a couple of pics of that one. It's portrait this time, vs. landscape.

Something New to Try

Good Morning! I managed to sneak in the TLC today from SCS before I head out to spend the morning with a friend. The Technique today is to 'double emboss'. You pass your cardstock through any embossing folder (I used Perfect Polka Dots) and then you brayer versamark ink over the raised parts and put embossing powder over the top. I used White EP. Looks cool, doesn't it! Bev Gerard has a video if you'd like to see how to do it. You can find it linked on today's TLC on SCS.

I love to find time on a Sunday to take part in the SCS 'Featured Stamper' Challenge. This week it's someone called Tillymint from Australia. I chose this card to CASE. I changed the stamp sets and colours but kept the main layout.
