A Technique and a Colour Challenge
I'm so excited to have found some mojo AND time to stamp today! Wow, life can be so hectic at times! Yesterday I fully intended to make a card using Holly's TLC273 "You've been Framed" which was to create a card using a frame. However, I had to take Sarah shopping for wedding shoes (don't ask!). Needless to say, we didn't get home until later than I expected and eventually the day ran away with me!
Anyway, luckily this morning, Betty had posted a Colour Challenge using our current In Colours, Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango and a colour which will be carried over into our new Subtles collection, So Saffron. So I grabbed the bull by the horns and threw a card together!
I pulled out my Oval Scallop Die, made the frame with Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, punched out some flowers using the new trio punch set in the Summer Mini Catalogue, curled them up and glued them around the frame, then just very simply stamped the flowers from Watercolour Trio in the colour challenge colours. A little butterfly at the top popped onto dimensionals, and hey presto!

This is going to my gorgeous cousin, Kate, whose birthday I missed on Sunday. It will take a week to get to England, but she knows I love her and she won't mind getting something late!
See you in 3 weeks, Kate!

May Club Projects
Here are the 3 projects my Club ladies will be working on tonight. The jar is actually etched using a Stampin' Up alphabet die (Timeless Type Junior Sizzlits) which was cut out of contact vinyl and stuck onto the face of the jar. The etching cream was smeared over the letter and the result is this pretty 'monogram' jar. Very hard to photograph! The 2 cards are both using sets which have just become available in the SU mini catalogue. The graduation one has a 3"x3" envelope inside to put some dollar bills inside. I took a picture below so that you can see it.
Recipes
Jar : Bashful Blue & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie 1/4" grosgrain Ribbon, butterfly sizzlit
Flower Card : Watercolour Trio Stamp Set, Melon Mambo, White and Olive cardstock, Scallop Square Die & Big Shot
Graduation Card : Go Graduate Stamp Set, More Mustard and Bravo Burgundy cardstock along with Bravo Burgundy 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and markers for the image.

Awash With Flowers
This is a new set from Stampin' Up called Awash with Flowers. It's going to be available in the new 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalogue in July. This is my first chance to play with it and I really like how it works. It's a 2-step stamp, so you stamp the flower first and then the outline. I rock n' rolled a couple of the flowers and sponged a bit for some dimension. I'm going to have fun playing with this set!
Recipe
Stamps : Awash with Flowers, Thank You Kindly
Cardstock : Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Ink : Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Sahara Sand
Accessories : Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Top Note Die, Big Shot, Sponge
