August Club Projects
My club girls and I had a fun evening playing with some new "Holiday Mini" goodies. A link to the catalogue is in my side-bar. This box was made with the new Stampin' Up Gift Box Punch Board. Love that thing! Makes these gift boxes a breeze.
Most of us with grown children are using gift cards more and more for birthdays and other occasions. In the main catalogue you can find a package of these lovely gift card holders. Page 194 "Gift Card Enclosure Pack". The petal pouch is all pre-cut and pre-scored, the gift card nestles in the middle perfectly with just enough room for the greeting. Apologies, mine got caught in the rain so the ink inside smudged a little.

CREATIVE CREW AUGUST CHALLENGE
Each member of the Creative Crew for August was given a day to post a challenge, mine falls this week and it's to make a WINDOW CARD.
Window cards can really be made in a variety of ways. You can cut a frame on the front of your card, punch a hole, use a framelit with an interesting shape to make a hole, or window. Honestly, the sky's the limit.
Here are a few samples to whet your appetite to make a WINDOW CARD. If you'd like to play along, all the details can be found here: AUGUST CREATIVE CREW CHALLENGES.
Thanks to my sweet, kind, lovely friend DEBRA. She made a few samples too ....
I love her card. That new lace background stamp looks like wallpaper, and the trees from Lovely as a Tree are shimmering behind the sitting room window. Snow is falling too .... and look at the lace blinds. Wow. My gorgeous friend is hugely talented. Thanks Debra!

Card File for Club
I ordered the new file tab thinlit dies from the 2014/15 catalogue and started wondering how I could use them. I came up with this easy project to make a card file. Perfect for storing our standard sized cards.
I think I'll be making these with my club girls this week. It makes a quick and easy project. Love that!
Here's my inspiration, from the Real Simple website. I think mine came out pretty close to the inspiration piece!
I have a word document with a quick dimensional tutorial. I hope to be publishing it shortly. If you want a copy NOW, drop me your email address in the comments section.

June Creative Crew!
Welcome to June's Creative Crew! This month's theme is "Demos just Wanna Have Fun!" ... how fun is that? The Design Focus is to use our favourite colour. If you want to play along, make a card (or project) using YOUR favourite colour and use the keyword CCREW0614DF uploading to the SCS Gallery.
My colour of the moment is Coastal Cabana. Isn't it fresh and crisp? It screams seaside to me so what better set to use than the brand new "Sea Street".
The Octopus was stamped in Coastal Cabana classic ink, then I used the blendabilities to highlight certain areas. Did you know you could colour on top of our classic ink? Clever! Here's a close up of my shading. Need to practice ;)
The HOLIDAY FOCUS I chose for June's Crew is Father's Day. I'll be visiting my Dad this month (can't wait) so I made this card for him. It uses the lobster from the set, By the Tide. Dad loves the sea, and everything in it, and he loves to eat lobster. This one was coloured with our new Blendabilities so it's already cooked and ready to eat ... ha! I made the card long and lean, it's 7" tall and 2 3/4" wide.
My final project features my favourite item. Right now, it's the blendabilities. I LOVE THEM. I mean, truly, they are fantastic .... you really need to try them out. I'm no expert, so if I can make them look good, then anyone can. Here's my CAS birthday card. The colouring is the focal point of this card ... look at the tiny pearls. Yep, coloured with Blendabilities :)
Take a quick look at the pearls I used on the flower center. They are coloured with the darkest colour in the Coastal Cabana pack. How fabulous is that? Tailored colours on our embellishments. Not just pearls either, you can custom colour your rhinestones. Oh the possibilities ;)
Check out everyone's Creative Crew projects in the gallery on Splitcoaststampers. Play along with us, we'd love to have you!
