NEW Petite Purse

Something FABULOUS that Stampin' Up are doing this year, is allow customers to PURCHASE a suite of products called Summer Smooches TWO MONTHS ahead of the new catalogue launch! Demonstrators were able to pre-order the product suite this month and my box arrived today. I got the DSP, stamp set and ribbon and this FABULOUS 'Petite Purse'. I literally just ran it through the big shot with the new DSP to see how easily it went together ... and had to share! I will make another one, taking more time and adding embellishments etc, but for now, here it is!
ETA: Cindy left a comment to ask if this was big enough to hold a card. Unfortunately not, it's teeny tiny. The base is 2 3/4" and the height (excluding handle) is 1 3/4".

Sketch & Thinking of You

Here's today's sketch over on Splitcoast. Nice and easy! I flipped it to make my card. I needed something for a dear friend who is having a really tough time right now. Just wanted her to know I've been thinking of her all day and want to make things better for her so badly!

I used the Occasions Mini Set "Send me Soaring". It's so fresh and pretty, I thought it would be perfect. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Recipe

Cardstock : Twitterpated DSP, Calypso Coral, Shimmery White

Spring Colours

Karen Barber gave us some VERY pretty colours to play with today in the Splitcoast CC. Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride. So springy and fresh! Here's what I made. The teacup is embossed with Wild Wasabi EP, as is the sentiment. I tried to keep it simple, just added the teeny flower & pearl as an embellishment.

RECIPE
Stamp : Tea Shoppe
Cardstock : Vanilla, Wasabi, Blushing Bride
Ink :Versamark
Accessories : Wasabi EP, Heat Gun, Triple Punch Flower, Tiny Trio Flower, 1 1/4" and 1" Circle Punches, Tulip Border Embossing Folder, Big Shot

One Colour, No Colour

I know, I know, this isn't exactly eye-catching and colourful! However, I AM complying with the technique challenge rules over on Splitcoast today! We were to use an outline image, stamp it in ONE colour and DO NOT colour the image. Yikes! I had to sit on my hands to stop adding something to this!
Here's a close-up.
RECIPE
Stamps : Nature Walk
Ink : Soft Suede
Cardstock : Soft Suede
Accessories : 1/2 Pearl, Soft Suede Taffetta Ribbon

Remember Chalks?

Do you remember chalks? I'm joking, of course, but I purchased a new pack of Stampin' Up's chalks when all the colours changed into collections, wow nearly 2 years ago now. Guess what? I've never even TOUCHED them. So I decided I'd give the Fresh Vintage Sale a Bration stamp set a go with chalks and Versamark. I LOVE IT! Hope I've inspired you to pull out your chalks today :)

Rue des Fleurs

Rue des Fleurs is available in the current Occasions Mini from Stampin' Up. I loved it when I saw it, bought it, bought the matching DSP and haven't touched it since! How many times do we do that?

I had the perfect excuse to drag it out yesterday, a friend of mine came over to stamp (Dawn Marie). I really enjoyed fiddling around with it and coming up with a simple design which is pretty eye-catching.
Here's a close up of the watches. I covered their glass faces with Crystal Effects, it looks so good in the flesh, photos don't really do it justice!
And now for something completely different! LOL. This is the pen from the set, I adore this and thought it would look stunning just standing alone on a CAS card with the sentiment. I love this! I know people struggle with CAS, and some would say there isn't nearly enough 'stuff' on this card. But sometimes, it's good to go back to the very basics and just stamp, one image, one colour and NOTHING else! Try it!

Ink : Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede

Masculine Birthday

Masculine cards are SO difficult for me! I needed to make one today for my Uncle Rob who has a birthday on the 9th. This set is from the Occasions Mini and is called You're My Type. I love it! I used the Pewter embossing powder to make the typewriter look 'metal' and then I embellished the card using punched out circles. No ribbons or 1/2 pearls for a boy-card! I think it worked out quite well. Hope he likes it!
Recipe
Stamps : You're my Type
Ink : Versamark, Cajun Craze
Cardstock : Naturals Ivory, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Well Worn DSP
Accessories : Pewter EP, Heat Gun, Sponge, Circle Punches
